For my first photograph I did hold the camera out for the fact that I was attempting to get the light to reflect on my eyes differently. If the right amount of light hits my eyes they become greenish, so that was the effect I was trying to get. I'm not looking directly in the camera. I am looking sort of above it, so it does not seem like a normal photograph. The light was being created from the sun coming in the window on a bright Saturday morning. It was about 8 am and the sun was beginning to rise through my bedroom window.
For my second photograph it is more of a simple photograph. I did like the interesting color combinations. The color of my shirt and makeup is a bright purple while my hair color and the background create a dark effect. This makes the shades of purple pop more. The light that is being created is also from my bedroom window; however the time of day is afternoon and it was sort of cloudy this day, so the lighting is not as bright as the previous picture.
For the photograph to the far right I am making an attempt to play guitar. This is something I would love to learn how to do. I know a few chords, but I am very passionate about music and I would love to express that in any way I possibly can. This shows part of who I am because music is such a huge part of my life. You can tell that I am strumming the guitar because my hand is slightly blurred. I had someone take this picture for me. The lighting in this photo is darker than the rest because it was taken on a rainy day and the only light we were working with was the one shining through the window.
What all three of these photos seem to have in common is that I am smiling in all of them. This was not done on purpose. It was actually a coincidence. I love to laugh and I love to smile, so that should explain why in all of them I have this expression on my face. Also all of these photographs were taken indoors and they have natural lighting. I did not have to turn on any lights to get the photograph brighter. The things that were successful about these pictures is that it shows all things I love to do. I love to smile and I love to play, write, or sing music. These pictures were not very difficult to take besides the one that needed to have light reflected in my eyes. I had to play with balancing light correctly.
